Chunky Elegance
Made for the Islington Contemporary Design Exhibition, Chunky Elegance is an experimental chair which plays with flat planes intersecting at angles. The round cutouts in the seat are designed to relieve pressure on the [Ischial Tuberosities]. The solid quarter-sawn Ash is dovetailed together for strength eliminating the need for conventional strengthening underneath the seat, facilitating the sleek, clean contemporary look of Chunky Elegance.
